Is there anyone else like me that so far during MOC I keep returning to use something over and over again from the same pack or kit? I bought this set of papers just prior to MOC and they are proving to be well worth owning as I keep using papers from this set... very versatile. Now please share your purchases you have made that have proven to be very useful.
I’ve been using the DYD Oh What Fun kits a LOT during the MOC. I’m trying to finish a book of my daughter’s Christmas, especially now that Shutterfly has their free unlimited pages deal .
Now I want those papers! I've actually been doing the opposite and trying to dive into my stash and use as many different things as possible!
I have. I wanted my pages to look cohesive. I have been using this kit: https://the-lilypad.com/store/Life-is-Keeping-Memories-alive-kit.html It's so versatile and can be used for so many photos and/or occasions. And I have been using this alpha a lot: https://the-lilypad.com/store/Big-Rumpled-Alpha.html I love simple yet unique neutral alphas, so this one is perfect and fits so many of my layouts.
I take a lot of different KITs. For the MOC, the Lilypad Collabs and the Mixed Media Collabs have proven to be the best.
I haven't re-used a lot during this MOC but for the last few years I have used this pack of paper from Little Butterfly Wings countless times. Especially the solids but I've used almost all the prints more than once too.
My IRL scrappy friend did a page with a title that I loved last weekend and I asked her about it and she said she used the styles from February 2018 Storyteller. They only come in the collection (not separately) but I have use the puffy sticker style SO many time over the last week! I can't get enough! AND you can even change the color to match anything on your page! So fun! Like on the word STOCKINGS: and these too! https://the-lilypad.com/forum/galleries/day-21-my-birthday.459377/ https://the-lilypad.com/forum/galleries/books-i-read-in-2020.458469/ https://the-lilypad.com/forum/galleries/family-book-cover-23.459970/
@Karen Thank you for sharing about that collection as I discovered I do have it but had never moved the styles into my styles folder.
My CC has been getting a workout...I said before I started MOC that I was going to use my stash...but then sales...and new releases...and now THIS thread! So much goodness!!!
Me too! Although, I've been doing a lot of Disney pages, so in a way, I'm using a lot of Project Mouse?
I use this font and these shadow styles on EVERY layout. font - prestige elite std bold Shadows {dressed up} by Fiddle-Dee-Dee pu/cu 2020 shadow styles by mommyish I also reach for Rachel's Jefferies messy marks: date stamps for many of my layouts. She has packs for several years.
Most years I dig in my stash a lot! This year, I wanted to see if I could finish MOC with just what I have on my PC and haven't moved to the EHD yet, just my own little experiment and I have done it with on probably 20 out of 25. But, in the past, I have come back to this paper pack over and over and over
I've used one of CD's alphas in every single MOC I've ever participated in. I have several of @AllisonPennington's alphas in my "Favorites" folder on my hard drive that I pull from all the time, MOC or otherwise. A few have showed up on my pages this MOC.
@LeeAndra Thankyou for your reminder about those great alpha sets of CD Muckosky. I just looked through my stash and only own one set and have now added a few to my wish list. I could have made use of one of those on one of my MOC pages.
Here's my latest find that has made it on to both layouts I've done since buying it and I'm sure on many more
