Trista, my first bedroom set of sheets/duvet cover/curtains was in jewel tones - blue, aqua, and purple. Love the colour combo, but it really didn't look great in the bedroom. Or anywhere else for that matter. Maybe a little accent somewhere, but never again the whole colour scheme! Such a shame, that bedroom set cost me a fortune!

I just can't scrap with purples. I love purple, have lots in my garden, but not on my pages. It just doesn't go with our family's skin tones.

Haven't thought much about it. I have a dress in a deep plum that I really like. And my younger girls' bedroom is painted a really light misty purple - it's actually almost grey with a hint of purple and it is really pretty on the wall. So I guess I like purple. But I don't scrap with it much.

Sarita was a fan of what she named Barbie colors, shades of pink & purple, I painted her room in those, and EVERYTHING was pink & purople for years...then she changed, l;ast year we painted all black n white....
I like it, but in moderation....

Heather, we were undecided on colors so having lots of colors seemed the perfect solution. Don't know why in the world we chose purple for the wall. WOW! :giggle This of course was in 2003. So it was a while ago and has since been updated. :)
