I used to know a shortcut for duplicating an element in PS. I can't believe it has been that long....but I have tried everything I think it would be with no luck. Can anyone tell me? It was something like hold the shift key & drag the element. Or something....

Thank you! I just came back to say I used to hold down the Alt then click the element & drag it. That creates a duplicate too! YAY! I am so glad this is coming back to me. :yesss I was worried there for a second that I had forgotten all my old tricks!

You can also hold down the Alt key and drag while you are using the move (V) tool. :)
