I have a quick tip to reconfigure scatters on your layout pages. Sometimes when using a scatter or a sequinned scatter element, a portion of the scatter I may need to move around as it isn't working on my page. Instead of duplicating the element and masking out, deleting or erasing out a portion of the scatter, you can do this technique to reconfigure it on your page easily. PS CC: PSE: Hope you enjoy the fun tip and find it helpful!!
I'm going to watch this asap! it looks like it'll improve my skills , cause I love to use scattered ellies on my pages !! thanks, Christa!
Really useful, and you do explain in a way that is very easy to understand . Love your note pad ! Now I know I am pushing it a bit,( I have an excuse, because at the last big windows update fail I lost all my links to tutorials ) but could you possibly show how to use the texturizer … sometime... when you are not busy.... Thanks again for this one.
So glad you enjoyed Vivi re the texturizer? I will be more than happy to but I am confused in what technique it is.. is it a filter? Let me know further and I will develope a video for it
I like to use textures other than what is the default, and I know that there is a way of doing that, because I did it before following a tutorial. But I can not remember how.. I mean the texturizer in the filter menu ; Texture > texturizer then on the page the little arrow shows 2 options, a texture or load a texture. when I try to load a texture ( like a photo of bark of a tree for example, not a bought designer one ( don't have any of those as far as I know ) it says not available even if I am clicking on it. I know there is a step I have to do before, but ??? Anyway thank you again.
OK I think I know wht you are talking about.. perhaps a pattern. I will work on something I will play in PSE and get back to you.. that is in the filters.
since I saw your video I've applied tutorial several times ... really thank you Christa ... today I used your tip to modify the wordart in my layout
awesome! It is a good little trick Marijke .. can be used in multiple ways not just scatters... so happy it worked for you!! I love your page here using Rebecca's goodies!
Christa @cfile - Thanks for the great tip! I've used it on wordart in the past and will remember to use it on scatters. I usually duplicate the scatters and delete or mask out the portions I don't want.
Christa, @cfile you already know how I feel about your tutorials! I agree with what everybody else has said. You just have a knack for explaining things and you never make them more complicated than they need to be! I find this, so often, with other things I watch. I come away more confused than I was going in. Never with your tutorials!!
