A few questions before I go wild in the shop....

Can we use retired products for:
    1) TLP Monthly Challenges
    2) Month of Challenges (pretty sure I know the answer to this one)

Do any designers not allow retired products for their monthly challenges?

Is it ok to use retired products on our layouts and pop them in the gallery?

Can we use retired products for:
    1) TLP Monthly Challenges
Challenge layouts must contain 75% TLP product (eligible product can be current or retired product from resident designers, or guest designer product that is currently in the TLP store).

    2) Month of Challenges (pretty sure I know the answer to this one)
Your pages must contain at least 75% current Lilypad product (currently for sale in the store).

3)Do any designers not allow retired products for their monthly challenges?
I am guessing this is going to vary from designer to designer.

4)Is it ok to use retired products on our layouts and pop them in the gallery?
GALLERY RULES: Layouts must contain at least 50% TLP products. (Templates count as 15%.) Uploads must be less than 250k. List all credits; no off-site linking allowed.
(This last one I am not sure).

Thanks @Dalis - I just don’t want to buy a heap of stuff then can’t use it here.

Oh no, I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND. If there is a specific designer that you play w/ their designer challenge check their current challenge to see if retired products are allowed.

Now I'm really confused. In #1 it says retired product from designers can be used but for the gallery question, I'm reading it as retired product isn't allowed for other layouts. I've got some layouts that are not for any challenges, just layouts that I could share but they are using a retired kit by a current designer. Only the template is current so I'm reading this as these layouts would not be allowed in the gallery. If I'm reading this wrong, please let me know. I haven't posted them because I didn't know so @littlekiwi thanks for asking.

No, I didn't say you can't use retired products in the gallery. It is not clear so I don't want to say something that is not. See below, I hope this helps.

    Short answer:
    1) Regular Monthly Challenges - yes to retired products
    2) MOC challenges - no to retired products
    3) Designer challenges - Read rules for each designer, this varies from designer to designer
    4) Gallery - I think you can post retired products from CURRENT designers, there is no where were it specifies that needs to be current, but I am not 100% sure, so I am going to ring a friend @mrs2a50

Thank you. I didn't say you said it but that is how I interpreted it. I have hesitated to post any layouts since I don't do challenges because I do use a lot of retired products and I have never known if they were allowed. So I really would like a clear answer one way or the other.

Oh I didn't mean it in a bad way, English is my second language so I have to re-read my post to make sure I am not saying something different to what I intend. LOL!!! Hopefully we get a more clear answer.

That's what I thought but since it wasn't written down anywhere I just didn't want to say something without double checking with one of the admin gals, thanks, JULIE!
