Hello! It's time for a new Pink Reptiles Designs monthly challenge! For this month's challenge we playing with fancy handwritten fonts for our titles. Find out more about it HERE on the blog. We hope you are inspired to play along with us this month and if you do play along, we'd love to have you show off your pages here in this thread (but please don't forget to add your page link to the blog comments so we know you are participating)!!! Congrats to Tammy @tlcd1961 for winning the $10 coupon for Sept's challenge!
This is a very cool challenge!!! Can't wait to see all your different takes... I played earlier and came up with this!!!
the three way font post looks awesome - u highlighted some great techniques and pages (& made some even better ones yourself!)! Looking fwd to trying some of them out for myself!
Thank you Justine! You are so sweet. I think my favorite was the one where I played with Puppet Warp to make the whimsical title. I learned that technique right here at the Lilypad from @Karen (- I think it was a past MOC challenge) and use it all the time and constantly find new uses/things to apply it to. This time I tried it on a text layer and I love the outcome. Looking forward to seeing everyone's pages!
Yep, that was a MOC tutorial and I love it just as much as you do! I just used it on my last layout too. Such a powerful tool! Love your layout!
All Pink Reptile elements in the layout. I used Rochester and Romantic Fonts for the Title with a gradient.
2016-oct-prd by nfenchak posted Oct 30, 2016 at 1:04 PM I used a bevel and drop shadows style on segue script font great challenge, i love doing things I never do!!
Pink Reptile Designs: What a Wonderful Day Collab https://the-lilypad.com/store/What-A-Wonderful-Day-Collab.html I used Option 3: Use a script handwritten font as your title and add a gradient, a style, or make it into a sticker to stand out.Feel free to clip a paper to any of the above ideas! Font used was Liorah BT. I clipped paper to it and turned it into a sticker. Seriously Emmy by tlcd1961 posted Nov 2, 2016 at 11:44 PM
Oh my goodness, love the pages so far! Just two more days to get your entry in before the Oct challenge closes and the Nov challenge goes live on the 15th.
I linked this layout on the blog, but thought I'd share it here too. I chose option 3 and did lots of playing around with the title after clipping paper to it. I use PSE - no puppet warp, but I used skew and several blend mode options. I probably spent almost 2 hours playing with the title and the copies I faded on to other parts of the layout. Fun challenge!
