I'm wondering how those of you who are embarking on PL this year are handling this first 4 days of the year. I will be using the Sunday through Saturday approach, so either I add these first four days to the first full week or let them stand alone, I haven't quite decided. Any thoughts?

I was just thinking the same thing. I am doing the Sunday through Saturday approach. I think I'll make my first week the 1st-10th.

    I simply do 53 weeks.

    But I don't print.

I do Monday-Sunday, and I am doing Jan 1-4 as Week 1. If that makes 53 Weeks, so be it.

Trying to figure this out myself. I do Sun-Sat. I just counted up weeks for 2015 to see what I'm comfortable with. I think I'll do what I normally do which is the first day of the year through the first Saturday is week one, regardless of how short it is. I'll have 53 weeks by doing it this way. But we usually have so much going on the last part of December that I stop labeling weeks after week 52 and just label my pages by the days covered.

Don't throw things at me, but........ I am considering making these first few days as the cover page for my book. I haven't taken a ton of photos and it kind of helps me solve the stress of coming up with the perfect cover page.

Mine is Sunday to Saturday too so my first week will be Jan 1 to 3. If I have too much space left I'll just use it as a place where I can record what I want to accomplish this new year.

I'm Sun-Sat as well and plan to make Jan 1-10 week one also. It just depends on how many days are in the short week as to what I do. ie... for 2014, week 52 is the long one... Dec 21 - 31.

It'll also give me another week to work on 2014, hehe. Sneaky, sneaky.

I start with Jan 1 and go through the 1st Sunday, since I scrap mine Mon-Sun. It makes for a short first week, and an odd last week, but that doesn't bother me.

Becky, I like your idea... I think mine will be similar - I'll probably use it as the one-page intro page to my bound album.

Popping back in to say that I've changed my mind... and it's all Amy Martin's fault! I use THESE cards of hers all the time...

Because they have the week # and the dates on them. I love them. BUT... she has week 1 at Dec 28-jan3 and week 2 as Jan 4-10, etc...

If I use Jan 1-10 as my week 1, i won't be able to use these for the rest of the year unless I go through the trouble of recoloring each time. I thought about doing that, but then wondered if other designers with similar cards were following the same dates. (I switch my title cards up each week). I started looking around and it appears that Jan 1-4 is the consensus among designers for Week 1. Have seen a couple around already with those dates on the week 1 card.

Therefore. Sigh. I have to start my pages sooner, LOL. Like today. EEK.

Just thought I'd share my findings in case it affects anyones decision.

I prefer making my week cards because then I can control the dates if I need to. This year, I am using Liz's Pictures and Words No.9

I'm using the large "week of" card and adjusting the dates as necessary.

My weekly journaling cards (from Liz) have the week # on them.

Oh, I love that card, Aaron... I'll have to put it in my rotation.

Jen, I was bowled over by those cards by Amy also, so I guess that seals the deal for me too!

I wanted to keep up with my traditional white space title card, and I saw this one used and loved it.
