Thank goodness it is Monday! We had a very busy weekend. Friday night I caught up with a friend and invited her and her kids over after school for a drink and a catch up. She stayed all night, we got pizza and watched football had a few glasses of wine and the kids all played together.
Saturday DS had a bithday party that started in the morning. Dropped him off, then did grocery shopping and had lunch. Got home just in time to get DD ready for another party. Hers was across the city in a very trendy area, so we left the car there and walked around the shops, markets and cafes. By the time we picked everyone up it was dinner time.
Sunday my husband got up early to run a half marathon in the city. We went in to watch him at about 7am and got to see him run by at two points, then at the finish line. So proud of him!! Then we had my sons football presentation, which my DH is also heavily involved in (coaching and committee). This was close to our house, but we must have looked funny carrying all the stuff we were presented with, trophys, a big framed gurnsey, I got a huge bunch of flowers, bottle of wine, photos, yearbook, etc. Then we all went to another birthday party in the afternoon, evening.
Now today hubby has the day off and we are going shopping and I need to tidy up because my mom is coming to stay for a few days..

So how was your weekend?

Geez, Amanda! I'm tired just reading all of that! lol. Sounds like you had a lot of fun though!

Brady had the start of his soccer season, and well...you saw the photo. lol. It speaks for itself. The rest of the weekend was pretty calm and relaxing though. I've got a big pot of gumbo on the stove and we're sitting around watching the Saints. :)

Whew, Amanda....did you sleep this weekend? :giggle

We had a plumbing leak that I discovered Sat morning right before leaving to go to Legoland. Ugh. Had to call someone to come look, pull up all the carpet in half the room, etc. etc. boring but a pain. I took my son (hubby went to the UT game in LA) to eat out and buy a toy instead of original Legloland plans.

Today I went to hot yoga (woohoo) then we spent about 3 hours at the beach. I made tacos for dinner & now we are just hanging out. I am trying to convince my hubby to watch Food Truck Race instead of football without much luck. :giggle

I'm exhausted reading that Amanda!!

I worked all day Saturday, and today just relaxed, walked, went to visit my sis's mom in the hospital (she's doing great)...then went out with a couple of my boys for my birthday dinner. We don't really do big celebrations...

I am going to go back over to see my sis and her mom later this week and then go hang out at the beach...it's supposed to be HOT this week...even at the beach.

Woooah Amanda! Sleep much? :giggle Sounds exhausting yet fun! I love those weekends where you stay busy...
Saturday my husband started building the roof to our back deck, kids played with their friends in the neighborhood, relaxed a little, and then me and the hubs went to Best Buy to get our new iMacs :) I spent most of the rest of the afternoon setting both of them up and all of Sunday morning. Also got my run in. :yesss

Holy cow Amanda! That sounds like a lot of fun, but exhausting too!

We went to a football game on Friday night. Saturday the boys had soccer and football games and then we went to an apple orchard to pick apples. Sunday I taught Sunday school, had a couple meetings at church and in the evening went to movie night at our church. Not a lot of time at home, but was all fun stuff. Today I need to so some serious cleaning!

amanda! how on earth?! that's just nuts. but it sounds fun!

we had a great weekend. friday was gymnatics for sebastian & a team meeting for meagan.
saturday my parents came over from ohio to go to isaac's football game with us.

after watching football, we headed to the gymnastics academy. their gym, combined with other gyms across the nation, were trying to break a world record for the number of simultaneous handstands. so at 1:00 pm EST everyone in the gym kicked up to a handstand. they counted the participants in our gym, and will add that together with the others across the country. it was really very cool. while we were waiting to get started, the president of USA Gymnastics was interviewing a few kids from the gym. He interviewed BOTH of my kids. so funny! and dangerous - giving meagan a microphone and no restrictions... who knows what that kid will say. thankfully she didn't say one single embarrassing thing! :giggle

after the handstand thing we went out to eat. then home to wath Notre Dame FINALLY win a game!

Sunday we took the kids to a historical park here in our area. they were having an 1800's county fair. you should have SEEN the old-school farm equipment they still had running! amazing! and the kids had a fabulous time jumping in piles of straw! plus we went through their historical area dedicated to the Civil War. It was a great day!

and yes, karen, i'm completely with you on needing some serious cleaning time!!
