My son is having his 6th birthday party in a couple weeks and wants to invite the kids in his class. I happen to have all the email addresses for the parents and am thinking I might just email the invitations (I am making them), instead of printing and hoping they make it home in the kid's backpacks. What do you think? That should offend anyone, right?

As a parent, I would totally dig on that. There's so much paperwork that comes home in their backpacks on a daily basis that I would welcome an email. :)

I actually emailed quite a few of my son's invites last year. A plus to doing it that way was how much it limited the phone call RSVP's too... which meant less time on the phone and more time getting stuff I really needed to do, done! I loved that part!

i wouldn't see anything wrong with an email invite. especially if your school is anything like ours - we are not allowed to send invites through school... don't want to hurt anyone's feelings if they are not invited, etc. it's a school policy. so i would think email would be a creative way to get around that!
