Aside from scrapping, how do you enjoy your 'me' time? I very occasionally get a massage and quite often go (window) shopping to spend some quality time with myself.
I watch a romantic comedy and knit or cross stitch..doesn't happen very often though. I used to read a lot..I was talking to my husband last night about how I need to make that a priority again, so I'm going to try to read at least 30 mins before bed every night to help myself wind down.
It's hard to get me time. I love to garden, but usually have "help" Or read - with lots of interruptions...
Read or watch old movies or TV shows on my ipad right before bed. That's about the only "Me" time I have.
Reading, scrapping of course.....turning the music up and singing along....driving with the music up and singing along .......sometimes just heading out for a walk with my camera is nice too.
I read a lot and take my dog for walks. When I have the house to myself, I love to catch up on magazine and watch some movies.
I have started regularly scheduling GNOs which help a lot. I spent the night at a friend's this past weekend while my mom watched Monkey, and I'm going to the Popcorn Festival this weekend in Marion, OH to see Boyz II Men with another GF. I'm with Monkey almost 24/7 during the week when I'm not at work with Hubs' schedule, so I try to take the opportunity to get out 'n' abt on the weekends.
I scrap, read, take a bath and sometimes take a nap (only on the weekends while the kids nap, on occasion).
I love the read and sometimes I'll veg with a good chick flick that my hubby wouldn't want to watch. Sometimes I make jewelry too, but mostly my "me" time is all spent scrapping.
What's Me Time? no seriously... with Hubby's schedule I just don't have much Me Time available. When I can I like go grab a cup of really overpriced coffee and browse the mall or a craft store. After the kiddies are in bed, I'll make myself a cup of hot cocoa and either read a story or two on my kindle or watch a favorite movie or tv show.
^^^^ That. I don't know what "me time" is anymore these days. Schoolwork is the closest I get to time to myself (and on occasion, scrapping), but both have to be juggled with 10 million other interruptions. I just lectured DD about this yesterday. Ugh.
