So, I was getting ready to take the girls to swim lessons last night and I had just finished buckling Helene into her car seat. I SLAMMED the sliding van door only to realize my fingers were still in it! I almost passed out from shock and pain. Helene was crying because she didn't want to miss her swim class (she is only 4) and Ella was trying to explain that mommy was hurt. I sat on the ground and looked at my finger and I swear I saw the bone (Doctor thought that was funny - he said it was probably the tendon I saw). I called DH on my cell phone and told him what happened and he started to flip out. He said he was calling 911 so an ambulance would come. (Now really, men overreact - at least my DH does). He ended up calling a neighbor and sending them over to sit with me until he could get home. I spent 2 hours at the emergency room and almost passed out when they cleaned the wound. X-rays were fine and they let me decide if I wanted stitches, glue, or a bandaid with ointment. Talk about starting your week with a bang!
Oh Rachel...that made me queasy just reading about it! How the heck are you typing?? I hope it heals fast!!
Oh my gosh... that sounds horrible! I hope they gave you some pain meds and I hope it's feeling better today. :-(
OUCH! Hope they gave you some good 'drugs' to take the edge off the pain because I can't imagine the pain. Trust me, the entire neighborhood would be coming out of their homes when they heard me. LOL
