*sigh* As many of you know, we got a new puppy last weekend. In preparation for the puppy phase, we put baby gates up to block off the kitchen/hearth room/mud room areas of the house. We wanted to confine Miss Puppy there because it's all hard surface flooring, which makes for easy clean up with accidents. On Tuesday, in a moment of pure grace, I went to step over the gate and instead caught my big toe in it. When I tried to pull my foot out, I ripped my big toe nail completely off. #%$$#!!!!
Let me just say that I gave birth to a 9 pound baby with no pain meds and this hurt MORE. It's been 5 days and I still can't walk. My BFF is my doctor. She pointed out to me that they torture people by pulling out their toenails, so yes, a great deal of pain is to be expected.
I'm on pain pills and antibiotics because it looked like it was getting infected. Awesome. So, if I start not making sense, you'll know why...
