    It's a glass and slate mosaic... and yes, I have a closeup, we just finished putting it up last night so it hasn't been grouted yet :)

    Laura, the walls will be a light beige... you can see a little swatch of the color on the right edge of the kitchen... the whole house is a very open floor plan so we're painting the whole house that color... we've had the paint for 2 years sitting in the garage :giggle if I had known that we were going to do this remodel which totally brightened up the whole house... I probably would have picked a darker beige w/ a hint of gray in it... but considering we bought 2 of those big 5 gallon buckets, I'm stuck with it for awhile :giggle
