For our pets!! It’s really cold for Vegas right now and our little guys are always cold. I was trying to do the MOC chat this evening and Gadget would NOT stop pestering me to pick him up. So…this is how I did the chat - typing one handed with him in my arms. Sorry about the Mom bun no makeup me…

How do your pets get in the way of your scrapping?

LOL love it!
i have seen a lot of 'catmoms' have cat baskets on their desk, depending on the time of day, i used to be able to get away with just having George (grey bird) sleep under the desk on my leg like i scrapped here

but now i usually have to wrestle my mouse off George (and now Aria (white bird) has learnt it's a fun toy & has discover my EHD cords are great chew toys :eyeroll) and Steve (yellow bird) likes standing on my keyboard - so yes, free range pets do make scrapping a bit more challenging!

Sadly, I lost both my cats this year, but they were always on my desk. They wanted to either lay across my keyboard or walk back and forth in front of me to see out the window. One of them would sit on my shoulder when he was little.

I sit in my chair with one foot under me and the other up in the chair, so the dog lays right at the base of my chair. He's pretty still except for when I move to put a foot down or something and then he jumps and scares me lol.

@Pachimac Gadget is so cute and I love his sweater!

Piper (age 10), our Yorkie that we've had for over a year now, loves to be held. I can usually redirect her to the chaise next to my computer or she'll go sit in my recliner or find someone else to cuddle with. During iNSD this past year, Olivia and I were in the same room scrapping and she had to be in on everything. LOL

Holly Belle, our tuxedo cat that we've had for 11 years, has always wanted to be held UNTIL Piper came along. She kind of went into hiding in many ways, but I'm happy to say that she has adjusted. Anyway, when I had a big desk, she had a little bed on it. She was also a lot smaller then. LOL

When it gets cold and we have the space heaters on our feet, Holly Belle loves to lay down in front of them. This is her at my feet in our den/computer room.

And here she is in my arms at my computer.

I have had a cat lying on my desk top with his head on my right arm, but he gets super grumpy when I click the mouse and have to type with both hands.

Mine aren't "in the way" perse- but they have beds by my desk & SNORE SO LOUDLY! I've had someone ask if someone was asleep during a meeting once... lol nope, just my dogs! ;)

The only way pets get in the way of my scrapping is if a scrapping challenge asks us to scrap about a pet. :lol2 I haven't had a pet since 2003. (Except for the sea monkeys I had several years ago.)
I'm fine with that though.
Perhaps if I come across a scrapping challenge about pets again, I will write about why I don't want a pet right now.

I do enjoy seeing everyone else's photos of pets though! I just saw a video on Facebook this morning of a little dog and a dolphin zooming back and forth together on their respective sides of the glass tank wall. So cute!

Peyton doesn't bother me when I'm scrapping. Neither did Pepper or Paige when I had them. All 3 of them usually just found a spot to lay down to snooze. Right now Peyton is in her bumper bed about 5 feet from me. Earlier she was on the couch behind me. And, there are times she won't even be in the same room. She likes to look out the sliding door or sit on the couch and look out the picture window (then bark at the squirrels, rabbits and neighbors if they are in their yards).

Now if I have Home Free YouTube videos playing, she has to be on my lap so she can watch too...

My cat prefers my hubby's desk - lucky me. He's usually on his desk or in his lap. The dog is too big to hold, but she's laying right behind my chair - if I move a muscle, she jumps up.

Cute picture, Susie! @Pachimac

For a mini aussie she sure has strong legs/paws. She gets one or two paws up on my arm and pushes down, wanting me to give her a rub and then go outside with her. I have to tell her a million times...not right now.

I am sorry about your kitties, Jan. :(

OMG soooo cute!!! My dog will stand near my computer chair and lay his head in my lap and give me those eyes....Yup, can't say no to that!

Ha ha ha! I love these pictures/stories. I don't have any pets anymore, but my friend that I scrap with about once a month has two cats and one of them loves to curl up across both my hands while I'm trying to scrap. Subtle. :giggle

That is so cute!! I don't picture a bird wanting to be in your lap!

Aw, I'm so sorry about your kitties. Will you get another one eventually?

Yep. Gadget grumps at me too. LOL
