First time ever in the family. DH woke up at 4 am this morning coughing, aching, chest hurt and had the chills. He couldn't get warm, comfortable or sleep. He had a fever. I got him a dr appt later that morning- yes it's the flu. Neither of us had our flu shots...yeah I know...get DH home, let DD know since it is her birthday!!!! We had plans to pick up her cake and go to dinner tonight. The errands start- couldn't get the meds because the dr prescribed it wrong and it was lunch. Get DH comfy go to pick up cake until I realized the place closed near me and the location is now 10 miles away and with traffic from my town- its bad. Called and apologized to DD and she said her hubby would pick it up. Picked up meds and needed a new battery for the thermometer which hasn't been used in 20 yrs-lol Went all around town and put the battery in and it still doesn't work- it on celcius temperature and says low battery. Stick a fork in me....I am done. In the meantime...I got a flu shot!!! lol Must be time to check out Tangie Baxters sale for retail therapy!!!

OMG, that's a lot to deal with... I hope your husband feels better soon.
And happy birthday to your daughter!

Ugh, the flu is the worst. Hopefully he recovers quickly! And YAY for you, for getting your flu shot today! Let's cross our fingers that you either don't get the flu at all, or you get a very mild case of it. And happy birthday to your daughter! This is one she'll remember!

Ugh, so sorry! We always get our flu shots, but DH got a strand of the flu that wasn't in the shot. He also had pneumonia and had to be hospitalized. It's bad!!

Oh no!! Hope he feels better quickly. My good friend had the shot and is on day 5 of the flu (type A and B). She still had a fever of 103 this morning and was dehydrated. It is bad.
Happy Birthday to your DD!!

Hopefully the anti-virals kick in (if that's what was prescribed) and he has a speedy recovery ... and no one else gets it! Big hugs!

Stay safe! ;) :backing (and hope your hubby feels better soon!)

that sounds like a crazy day for sure ... i hope you stay well and hope you all get to celebrate DD's bday when hubby feels better. scrapping therapy will definitely help!
