Hello everyone!! I'm so happy to be here with the style challenge this month!! Can you believe it's already October?!? I am always drawn to clean and simplistic layouts, especially ones where the picture takes center stage and there is plenty of white space. My layouts usually follow along what I am drawn to. But every so often a different kind of layout catches my eye...ones with huge pictures!! My style challenge for you this month is to use an oversized picture on your layout. The picture has to be at least half of your page. Here is my layout I created for this challenge: I made one with a full sized picture, but here is one I made previously with a picture that is about half the page: Like I said, sometimes oversized pictures are just what a layout needs!! Just remember this layout has to have a picture that is at least half the size of the layout!! The Fine Print: Please remember to follow the monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Once you scrapped it, it should be posted to The Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the July Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate for The Lilypad Store!!! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge, remember that you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges.
I think this is one of my favorite styles as it focuses on the photo and seems to need almost no embellishment. That's how I approached this.
Well this was a challenge for me. I don't do photos much. My first LO was such a disaster I didn't even save it! LOL Here's what I came up with:
I took some fall photos for my brother's family a few weeks ago... they make adorable scrapping subjects .
