November Inspiration Challenge

I make this every Easter, Christmas and Thanksgiving. Sometimes in-between - its easy and delicious.

 

Friends, you have taught me so many things. Like how to pronounce Chick-Fil-A. So let me introduce you to something: The Milk Calendar. The Canadian Milk Board has been putting out a Milk Calendar every year since the late 70s. We all grew up with it in our kitchens, but now I just mostly check the recipes online. None of them are bad. AND, you can get all of the old recipes. We had a couple really fun "80s" and "90s" weeks making recipes just from those decades. (There was a LOT of quiche in the 80s). So, please enjoy the meal that made my youngest realize that tuna is not so bad.

 

@FarrahJobling How could you imagine we'd do recipes without photos??? LOL We're the people who got them to start making cookbooks (remember them?) with photos to show how it's supposed to turn out! I'll be back with a photo recipe later this week.

 

Mine ended up being a 2 pager for my December daily album last year!

 

Ok, not your normal recipe page, but I don't usually do pages that are solely for the purpose of the challenge, and since I have no recipe book on the go, I wanted to tell a short story of our landing in NOLA.

After some thought, I knew which recipe I wanted to use. It's our "go to" dessert!
I tried for a Retro look.
