I just love this quote! As a woman it is a reminder each and every day to place value on myself, that I am a beautiful person inside and out. It means if you are heading out the door to do something, or see someone you really are dreading, take that imaginary crown off the shelf, dust it off, square your shoulders, and tell yourself YOU Are Important, Beautiful, Strong and you can do this! example for myself is my favorite song to sing in Church, is this one, I think of myself and everyone of us as a precious jewel. Yours might be a different color than mine, Older, Newer, Shiny or dull but it is sill Precious no matter what! When He Cometh Hymn Lyrics When He cometh, when He cometh To make up His jewels, All His jewels, precious jewels, His loved and His own. Like the stars of the morning, His brightness adorning, They shall shine in their beauty, Bright gems for His crown. He will gather, He will gather The gems for His kingdom; All the pure ones, all the bright ones, His loved and His own. Little children, little children, Who love their Redeemer, Are the jewels, precious jewels, His loved and His own. I know this will be hard for some of you but this weeks Muse is to create a layout about yourself. It would be nice to see a photo of you on your layout but that is not necessary. Maybe it is a secret spot on your layout that you have hidden your journaling that you have created to remind yourself of your importance. Challenge Requirements: 1. For the Monthly Muse, you may create any style of layout (ie. clean and simple, artsy, pocket style etc.), with or without a photo. Create any size page you wish. The Art Muse is for everyone; have FUN! 2. You can use any products in The Lily Pad store or retired products from current Lily Pad designers, (just make sure you follow our gallery guidelines). 3. Please post your layout to the Art Journaling Gallery HERE by Midnight, 30 November 2021; and post your layout in this thread by copying the "Share BB Code" to the right of your gallery image. Each post, regardless of the week posted in the month of November earns you one chance to win a $5 coupon to the TLP store. Thus, 1 Muse = 1 chance to win 2 Muses = 2 chances to win 3 Muses = 3 chances to win 4 Muses = 4 chances to win
I finally broke the barrier of not liking to make layouts about myself or with me in them. The problem is that I don't have many pictures OF me to work with, and having gained a lot of weight lately, I don't want to take any! I have an idea using an older picture - is that okay? Does it have to be a recent picture?
Of course it doesn’t! That being said what about a selfie of your feet where your standing? Or like I did say it can be photo less too.
What an amazing hymn to start your challenge out with! I needed that tonight. LOVING the inspiration so far.
Well, considering my intent was to use the same photo of me for this entire month of AJ, your challenge was perfect. My invisible crown turned into bows and ribbons, I'm afraid... A carry-over from my childhood...
Man! These Art Journaling Challenges This Month Are Really Making Me Go Deep...This Layout Here Is Immensely Personal...So Personal I Debated On Not Sharing It & Creating Something Else...Life Has Been Tough For Me For Awhile Now...I Can Only Try To Stay Positive...But I Guess This Layout Has Been A Canvas For All That I've Been Going Through...There Are A Lot Of Emotions Here! & Lots Of Conjecture Too!...I Know This Layout Is Not Gonna Be For Everyone...To Anyone Who Stops By &/Or Leaves A Comment...Thank You!... *For My Sometimes It Rains & Pours Layout-I Used: *Mixed Media Monthly-April 2018-Moody-Forecast-Change-Dawn Inskip/Little Butterfly Wings/Lynne-Marie & Paula Kesselring
I used the face from and flower from Li Li Wee and most everything else is by Rachel Jefferies. The crown is from MM May 2021.
I wouldn't say my invisible crown in strength - its more like persistence - picking myself up, one foot in front of the other, even when I don't want to.
