Crowns are a regular feature in art journal layouts. I mean, who doesn’t want to be Queen for a day? This week we’ll keep it simple by using a paper crown and one of the following fill-in-the-blank phrases: “Queen of _______” or “Queen of the __________ “ or “_________ Queen” Your phrase can be anything. A few ideas include: - Queen of the sofa. - Queen bee. - Queen of the house. - Drama Queen. - Beauty Queen. - Queen of the cookie jar. - Queen of Dancing or Dancing Queen. - Queen of England. Okay, maybe not that one. But I think you get the idea. Credit: Becca Bonneville - Call Me Queen Bee Paper crowns – chances are, you have one in your TLP digital stash. You may use a sticker. If you use a brush, be sure to cut it out so that it looks like a paper crown. If you do not have a paper crown in your stash – no worries! These are easy to make; all it takes is one rectangle and three or more triangles. Or, get creative with banners. Paper crown made in photoshop using 1 rectangle shape + 3 triangles. Shapes merged, then papers clipped to crown: Crowns made with banners: Kits used: Lynn Grieveson Be Kind and Just Jaimee Storyteller Dec 2016. And, my final layout: Queen of the Wild Things (should probably rename to Queen of Volia App ). Challenge Requirements: 1. For the Monthly Muse, you may create any style of layout (ie. clean and simple, artsy, pocket style etc.), with or without a photo. Create any size page you wish. The Art Muse is for everyone; have FUN! 2. You can use any products in The Lily Pad store or retired products from current Lily Pad designers, (just make sure you follow our gallery guidelines). 3. Please post your layout to the Art Journaling Gallery HERE by Midnight, 30 November 2021; and post your layout in this thread by copying the "Share BB Code" to the right of your gallery image. Each post, regardless of the week posted in the month of November earns you one chance to win a $5 coupon to the TLP store. Thus, 1 Muse = 1 chance to win 2 Muses = 2 chances to win 3 Muses = 3 chances to win 4 Muses = 4 chances to win 4. This week’s muse is a bit more prescriptive. You are asked to use at least one paper crown and a “Queen…” phrase in your layout. Happy creating!
SUPER Regal examples, Lisa @Armygirl and @Dalis ( see what I did there?) Reminds me of my AJ beginnings and some of Tangie's work then too! Lisa, pray tell what app you used on your gorgeous photos?!!!!
I used Voila app. Which is highly addicting. You can take a new photo or use and old one. There are several categories to choose from…but each makes a cartoon-ish image of a face. Learned the hard way, does not work on pets

Lisa, thank you for the fun challenge and for the wonderful examples! I had fun creating the Queen of Quirky doll.
Works in Progress are a staple in my life. Currently there are 5- shown are a Raggedy Ann life sized doll and matching outfit for Lila, and first oval weave - future table mat. (I hope!) and my first hand knitted blanket.
Lisa I absolutely LOVE your selfies with the banner crowns! Here's my own version with Becca's Queen Bee crown recolored: I had to do another!
