No, it's true - it's all in the size... ... and I bet that grabbed your attention! One of the best things about art journaling is that size is never a limit. There are SO many sizes of canvases you can create on when you journal. Here are some of the most well known ones: Inchies - 1" squared (you can find examples of Inchies here) Twinchies - 2" squared (you can find examples of Twinchies here) Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) - 2.5" w x 3.5" h (based on the original baseball card size) (you can find examples of ATCs here - and most of them have a back where you complete your details, so that when you swap/collect them you remember who created them) Moo Cards - 2.75" w x 1.125" h these babies can be printed at certain printers and make excellent business cards (you can find examples of Moo Cards here) Fat Book Pages - 4" w x 4" h (you can find examples of Fat Book Pages here) Postcards - 4" w x 6" h (you can find examples of Postcards here) Skinny Book Pages - 4" w x 8" h (you can find examples of Skinny Book Pages here) Jumbo ATCs - 5" w x 7" h (basically, twice the size of regular ATCs) Index Cards (also called Dexies, although that can get confusing when you google for images and end up with drugs showing up on your screen) - 5.25" w x 3.5" h (you can find examples of Index Cards here) So, your challenge today is: simply try a different size to what you're used to. It's hard to tell the size of the squared versions when you post in the gallery at 600 pix x 600 pix, but hey give them a try. Sometimes it's easier to try new sizes when you're the cut-and-paste variety of scrapper, but it is lots of fun to try them digitally, too. Come back and post in this thread so we can leave you some love!
Ha ha ha! Your title sure grabbed my attention! I had to come see what you were talking about! So fun that there are so many sizes to get artsy with! Great list!
My Crazy Dream I came to the Lilypad to post the page I'm about to post in this thread, and thought: I'll check just in case there's something in the art journaling pad, and Yay! there is! I feel justified in posting this page as I mostly (that is, more than 50% of the time) do art journal pages in 8 1/2 x 11, and this one is 12 x 12. I like this challenge, though, and will be back with one done specifically for it.
Wow, Edeena! Who knew there were so many different sizes! You've got my wheels turning...now to just decide on a size and create! Thanks for the challenge!
