Hello scrappers :wave: I'm new to TLP and to digiscrapping and, um, to all scrapping. I didn't see a specific area for intros but I felt weird just jumping in all awkward like, so I hope this is okay here.

So, hi, I'm Emma. I'm married with two young boys (2 years and 8 months) that I stay home with so lots and lots to scrapbook, finding time for it is the only challenge. I used to always say I don't have a crafty or creative bone in my body but keeping these memories is so much more important to me than having museum worthy layouts, so I just keep on keepin' on.

This seems like a pretty small, close community so I hope I'm not intruding! I'd really love to get to know everybody. Thanks for having me!

Yes-keeping the memories is most important and if you need ideas/creative inspiration then it's always good to scroll through the layout galleries, I'm sure you find many layouts you like there.

Jump right in. Join the challenges if you feel like that, or not.... It is a good way to learn though.
And check the calendar for chats and slow / speed scraps, the new October one should go up sometime tomorrow under announcements in the forum.

Welcome Emma! So glad to have you with us! Any help you need just give a holler... what program do you use? We have a wide variety of users of most programs, but if we know what program you use, then that helps with who can assist if you need help! Looking forward to seeing your pages!!!

So glad you stopped in to say hi and I hope you stay ... there's always so much fun going on here at The Lilypad ... and it is such a warm and truly welcoming community... we are always looking for new friends and thrilled to see new people! Welcome to the Pad Emma! You posted in just the right place and you are absolutely not intruding! We are happy to have you join us! :) You are starting digi-scrapping about the same time that I did... I had a new baby and a two year old, but I was also working full time and stumbled on this wonderful world of digital scrapbooking. I didn't get much sleep those first few years. LOL! Just curious how you discovered us here and digi scrapping in general?

Anyway, glad to have you here. :)

Emma, you sit right down next to me, and tell me more! I love people, the Lily Pad loves people, and we love to hear more!! You ask questions, we are here to encourage you to become addicted just like us to scrapping. I have to tell you, how lucky you are to have landed in this little pond of awesome to begin your journey!
We all were new once and because of this encouraging community, we grow and learn and laugh!

Let's see, I'm using PSE 12. I started out making layouts from scratch but that was too much too soon for me, so I tried a template and now I'm addicted.

I started with project life (not digital) in June or maybe it was July. I've been a scrapbooking stalker for years but I always thought it was way over my head artistically, but project life looked like something I could manage. The more I did that, the more I wanted to traditional scrapbook but still felt like it was too creatively demanding, and also expensive. Then someone in one of the three billion project life Facebook groups I'm in posted a blog about getting started in digital, which convinced me to take the dive and also introduced me to TLP!
