    Yes, shadows are definitely more work in PSE than in PSCC . . . in PSCC it is so quick and easy.

    Lightroom really changed my post processing of images as well as organization. Photos are such a big part of my scrapping, and I love how much control I have in Lightroom over my images.

    The most recent draw to Lightroom for me has been the Lightroom Mobile app . . . it automatically syncs to the desktop version, and I can choose to take my photos - on my phone - in RAW. Makes editing cell phone photos so much easier and better quality!

    NICE! That is very appealing to me! I take way too many pictures with my cell phone.

    You can do amazing things with your photos in Lightroom- easily - And it's one of the best ways to organize your photos and your digi stash. I have one catalog for each but if you don't have a lot in either category you can combine them. I prefer having them apart.

    I use GIMP and yes it is freeware. It is what I learned on, so I can't compare it to what you are used to.
