New frog on the Lilypad

    Hi everyone,

    My name is Marie-France, but I go by Marif.
    I am originally from France but have been living in Canada for over 15 years. We live 8 hours north of Toronto, where it is too cold and the winter is too long :(
    I am married to a great guy and mom to Cedric, a very handsome and sweet little boy who is the main subject of my layouts.
    In my spare time I enjoy TV, movies, reading (audiobooks count!), yoga and Jiu Jitsu.
    You will also see a LOT of Disney in my gallery. I've always loved Disney and it turns out the parks are my little guy's heaven (he is on the autism spectrum and the rides, music, and happiness of Disney World make him happy!). So we go a couple times a year :D
    I've been scrapping since 2008 and somehow managed to be lucky enough to join Bella Gypsy's CT last May and I am following them here as they make the Lilypad their new home!
    PS: As my little guy only understands French, I have started journaling mostly in French, and I'll try to remember to summarize my journaling when posting layouts for those interested (I know it always makes me sad when I can't understand the story...)

    And yes, Audiobooks totally count! It's about all I have time to "read" anymore :)

    Welcome, Merif! I'm kind of new too! I absolutely LOVE all things Disney and I can hardly contain my excitement that we are taking my 3 kids to Disneyland for the first time at the end of the month! Congrats on being on Bella Gypsy's CT- I'm super jealous!

    Welcome to the pad @Marif ! Your story reminds me of a young man I follow on FB named Tommy. You may know him. He also has autism and he also LOVES Disney, Oh and he lives in Canada! His website is "Autism means Friendship" https://www.facebook.com/tommydesbrisay.autismmeansfriendship/?fref=ts If you don't follow him already you really should he is absolutely amazing and such an inspiration. I truly enjoy reading his posts and watching his videos in all the places he visits especially Disney. He seems to have an "In" because all the characters know him by name and will actually walk up to him and address him by name and remember things about him. Its actually quite amazing. He is a runner and he runs the Disney Marathons as well as other marathons. His motto is he wants to be the First best fastest runner. LOL He is adorable.
