I started my running journey in April 2011 with the C25K program. This was huge for me to start this program. I hated running, loathed it actually. I even turned around and went back home one morning at 5 a.m. after driving to Kickboxing class a few years ago because they were running to warm up. I run as often as I can as well as do walks, weights, toning exercises, the bike and elliptical but by far, running is now what I LOVE! Because I have fibromyalgia, there are weeks at a time when I am just in too much pain to work out at all but, as soon as I can I get back at it. I have lost 30 lbs. and am healthier and more fit than I have been since I was 16 years old. I still have a way to go on my journey. Although I am now back in the weight and BMI that I should be for my height, my goal is to lose 20 more lbs. and to run a half marathon. I truly believe that if I can do this....so many of you CAN to. I hope this picture of my transformation inspires or motivates you today.
