MUSE FOR DECEMBER: FLOWERS & FAUNA To keep our challenges nice and simple this month, we will work with Mother Nature! Weeks 3 & 4 In line with keeping everything very easy and simple for December, here is part two of this month's muse. As you can see by the December title, for the latter part of this challenge we going to be scrapping about fauna. Below you find an inspiration board with some animals, both wild and friendly, so take a look and see if anything 'speaks to you'! You may use other sources of inspiration of course, perhaps you have a fur-baby or feathered friend at home that you would like to use for your layout! Challenge for Weeks 3 & 4 - Create TWO layouts about a favorite animal. No other rules this month, so create your pages however you want to, with photos or not, using quotes, or a combination of both. It's entirely up to you. This is my first page, it's a photo of some Yellow tailed black cockatoos that were in the back garden a few months ago. They quite a destructive bird, boring into tree trunks to get at the worms/beetles inside it. How they find the things I will never know! However, they were being well behaved on this particular day, only eating some banksia flowers! The sky was a dreary shade of grey on this particular day so it was really easy to extract the image! Credits in the gallery. Here is my second page, featuring one of our little doggies, Daisy! You may create any style of layout (ie. clean and simple, artsy, pocket style etc.) you wish, but you need to use at least ONE photo/image. Create any size page you wish. This is for everyone, so have fun and see where the inspiration takes you. If you want all 4 Muses on one page that's perfectly okay or you can make 4 separate pages!! It's totally up to you! Please post your layout to the Art Journaling Gallery HERE prior to December 31, 2019 and then post it in this thread by copying the code (at the right of your gallery image) from the box under "Share BB Code". We will draw a winner at the beginning of next month for a coupon!! You can use any products in The Lilypad store or retired products from current Lilypad designers, (just make sure you follow our gallery guidelines). Looking forward to see your pages everyone!!
Weeks 3 and 4 (12.19) Loved doing these as I followed along on my iPad, a YouTube tutorial by Tangie Baxter. See gallery for credits: https://the-lilypad.com/forum/galleries/12-19_wk4_snowbird-02.413478/ See gallery for credits: https://the-lilypad.com/forum/galleries/12-19_wk4_snowbird-02.413479/
Here's my week 4 in full AJ style, lol! Not truly a "favorite" animal, but certainly one fun to create with/about.
just.......... WOW!!! what super creative ladies you all are!! your unique take on this challenge is simply wonderful! I have so enjoyed looking at all of these wonderful pieces of art!!!!
She did. She had 80+ stitches between internal and externals. The other dog missed EVERY SINGLE major artery and organ!!!! She was mangled but survived, she was very jumpy before this so she is even more apprehensive but after a year and a few months she is starting to trust in us again. She just came to give me a "kiss" and bit my nose. So she will do these things now, where she wants to give love and be loved but tries to do it and run so she snips a lot instead of lick.
I have done my second layout, it's in the first post and @Cherylndesigns this one is about our Daisy! lol!
Well, I managed to get all four weeks into one page. Since we currently don't have any indoor animals, I take pictures of the ones I see at our feeding stations. I extracted our resident deer out of a pic for week 3 (taken in November). For week 4, I included a goldfinch at the feeder.
