I'm just going to throw this out there.... moms should not be allowed to get sick. It just shouldn't happen.

Yesterday in our chat, I explained that our AC is broken, it was like 88 degrees inside. Then, after I logged out of work for the day, I ended up having a 102 degree fever, and in the bathroom for several hours. No fun.

Well, on the plus side.... my father in law put us up in a hotel (pet friendly, even!). All well and good to get out of the immense heat in our house. ... but husband tried sleeping with the toddlers, who thought this was a fantastic adventure, and didn't want to sleep. And I tried sleeping in the other bed, and was awake every 10 minutes (it felt like).

So any way. The AC was fixed today (hooray!), but I'm still not 100%. I couldn't even scrap! I tried. Lol

Okay. Vent over. And look at that, journaling done for the LO I can make about this fiasco ;)
 
glad the adventure was a short one, and hope you will get better soon, wonderful how you found your silver lining :)
 
No, I agree, it's no fun to be sick when you're a mom... Glad you got your AC fixed! Sleep well!
 
Glad you got your AC fixed! I'm sure the hotel was quite an adventure for the little ones :). Hope you are feeling back to normal very soon!!

So sorry you were sick. It does seem ridiculous that moms are allowed to be sick because there is no one to take care of us!

We sort of half-jokingly talk about that around here in reference to brain surgery that I might have to have at some point. My hubby is just in denial over the whole thing and we don't talk about it because no one wants to deal with it. I can't even imagine scheduling around it, and we'd have to pay someone to come in and help me out. LOL. It is insane.

Glad your A/C is fixed and hopefully you will be back to normal in no time!
 
Yikes, that's hot and with no AC and a fever, that's a double whammy. I hope you are feeling better today!

Hoping for better sleep tonight, but at least the house is a reasonable 77 now. Haha

That's just not right. One should not have a cold/flu when it's hot. It's against the natural order of things. That stuff is supposed to happen when you can snuggle under blankets and drink hot toddies and such.

Glad your AC is fixed, and hope you are on the mend soon!

Oh no! What's with all this sickness going around? I hope you're back on your feet soon and thank goodness the AC is fixed!

I have been able to work today, but still not 100%. Blah.... horrible timing. Who wants to be sick on a holiday weekend?! *thumbs down*
 
I used to feel like taking care of little ones was its own kind of cruel torture when you are feeling badly.

It still isn't fun, but the boys are definitely at an age that it is a bit easier on me.
Hope you can get to feeling better soon!

I know right? ! They just want to help, so they're in your face when you just want space.... trying to play doctor with their toys, which makes you silently curse, because now there's One.More.Thing (or several) that must be sanitized before they put it anywhere, so you can stop the sicky madness. ... kisses, hugs and cuddles make them better, so they must do the same....

*sigh* I love my kids. Lol.

I totally agree. Mom's shouldn't ever get sick. I'm glad your AC is fixed and that you're on the road to recovery now.
