I am scrapping! woot I can spend hours concentrating on nothing but my Grandbaby's face. So, for style this month, I am going Clean and Simple to stare just at her! tee hee Clean and Simple, should have no more than 10 elements (to include paints, fasteners, and such) the highlight of the page is a small (being no larger than a 3x3inch or cm) square. I find that going with a b&w is a fun way to incorporate for C&S (but you don't have too). I used 2 flowers, one word art one heart element stamp (I actually erased some of the hearts) and one paint and a title for a total of 6 things other than the photo. I used fun designs from the April 2017 BYoC Lynne Grieveson - Brand New Day One LIttle Bird - Between Us and Pink Reptile Designs - Cattitude Please remember the monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a guest spot on the Lilypad Creative Team! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).
OK, my sweet friend!! I KNOW you are excited about that beautiful grandbaby----WOW, beautiful is right!! But your instructions say LESS than five. So we can use no more than 4 items? And does that include the title? Oh, and my middle name is LITERAL---meaning I MUST follow instructions exactly or I go buggy!!!!!
Ohhhhh, you are SO good to us!!! Now I am going to be a copy cat and scrap my new great grandson--which makes the total count of great grandchildren--15!!!!!!
Fun challenge and I can understand why you wouldn't want to take your eyes off that sweet grandbaby! So precious.
Oy. This challenge will definitely pull me out of my comfort zone... both because I love BIG photos and because I struggle with feeling like a page that's 3/4 blank is wasted space if I'm going to print it. @AnneofAlamo - I have a question: your challenge didn't mention journaling as something to include in the count of "10 or less elements". Would a block of journaling be considered one element? If so, does it matter how large that journaling block might be? I'm thinking of using a small photo and the minimal design elements, but using a large part of the otherwise blank space to journal about the photo. Would that fit the challenge requirements?
loved this one, here is mine: I only used: paper, Photo, bow, mat, frame, mug, circles, flower, title.
challenges are to help pull out of the comfort zone,(I am pushy puller...lol) and I too am a printer of my pages. When I do a clean and simple and I do print it. It is a story in the photo with the title. You can of course journal, this is YOUR page for YOUR life. ♥ For this challenge, let me push you a bit to see if a title or word art can go hand in hand with your photo to bring the memory out.? I am looking at the pages already done, the crops (which are one of my favorites of the C&S), really do add a flair of individuality to each one and can't wait to see what you come up with!
@AJK - I took it as a challenge too...and it was pure fun to play small on a big canvas. I think you will love it.
Anne. Wow that baby and the layout are gorgeous. Is thi your first grand baby? Welcome to the best club ! Enjoy every moment
