Hi all and Welcome to the May Scraplift challenge. I know, May already?! This month is full of fun and games with iNSD as well and if you are like me, you want to do it all but there's only so many scrap hours in a day! I have a ton of 'to scraplift' pins but scrolling through them and trying to pick just 1 can sometimes use up all my scrapping time (and sometimes when we get to choose from a member or designers gallery for the Scraplift challenge, I have the same problem! Too much awesome stuff to choose from!) So I've learned to set myself limits! Here's my time-saver, get scrapping method I sometimes have to use to manage that overwhelmed feeling and my indecisiveness & we're going to use that and add a twist for the May Scraplift challenge. Step 1: Go to the front page of the gallery. Step 2: You now have 15 pages to choose from. Step 3a: Choose 2 pages you like (or if still feeling indecisive ->Step 3b Step 3b: close your eyes, say 'eeny meeny miny moe' while scrolling and go with the one's closest to where you land) Hard part's done! Step 4: Here's the twist: You're going to mash-up those two pages & scraplift away! Depending on when in the month you get to this challenge, the 15 pages on the front gallery page will look different. I prepared this in time for the start of May so all the dates say April but this was my front page before scrolling (you don't need to screen grab the gallery, just sharing my process) I settled on these 2 pages by caapmun & Trish And here's the page I made -full credits here- using the fantasy world theme, mixed media layering and flower cluster with a wordstrip from the first page and the large photo across the middle with fading edges and top right photo and bracket from the 2nd page. Can't wait to see what you pick! Please credit and show us what pages you chose to mash and scraplift as well as what you made! (Are you usually indecisive too? Did this method save you any time? Do you like mashing things up from time to time?!) Happy scrapping! As always, please remember the monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the May Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).
