Well Hello and Welcome to Week 3! As we talked about in Week 1 - we are being inspired by the UNEXPECTED this month. You can read more about it HERE Week 2 we toned it down a notch and played with glitter - you can find that HERE Last week we played with light and color HERE Since it is a holiday weekend here in the USA(and there are only a few days left this month), I want you to seek out you to go on your own inspirational journey and find something unexpected that inspires you!! It can be a little thing, a moment, a song, a smell, a chance encounter, an emotional response, or something huge. Let life speak to you in some way. Please make sure you tell us (or show us) what your inspiration was, so that we can be inspired as well! And remember, this does NOT have to be an arty page. You can use a photo if you like (but you don't have to) and add elements (or not) whatever you prefer - whatever you like - DO IT! Please post your layout to the Art Journaling Gallery HERE prior to May 31st and then post it in this thread by copying the code (at the right of your gallery image) from the box under "Share BB Code". We will draw a winner at the beginning of next month, even more incentives for your inspiration! You can use any products in The Lilypad store, make sure you follow our gallery guidelines.
Thank you for the inspiration all month long! The unexpected thing that inspired me here is that I had this awesome coloring page/background paper from Just Jaimee's New Year's Celebration, and I didn't compulsively color it, like I usually do!
I was inspired by this month's Mixed Media Monthly. I bought the whole kit + some more of LiliWee's kits and when I was unzipping the files and looking at them, I was overwhelmed with inspiration!!
Just got this book "Eat Like Walt" which includes historical pictures, art and stories of food places in Disneyland. The whole book inspires me, but especially this concept art of New Orleans Square.
Thinking about this holiday weekend here in the USA, I've always been moved by the sight of a military cemetery (like Arlington). It's even more moving when each gravestone has an American flag placed next to it. Therefore, my ATC for this fourth week:
WOW - you guys, these are amazing, and so unique!! Thanks so much for sharing them all with me - off to leave you all some love!!
