May 2018 Monthly Muse - WEEK #1

Hey Everybody!

Long time no see!

I have not been around as much as I want to be lately because my life continues to be a roller coaster with just one thing after another - but you know what I have learned? Even with life being super crazy, we can still find little islands of inspiration to help carry us along.

So for the month of MAY I want to explore the UNEXPECTED. Little things, images, words, phrases, people, videos, whatever, that come seemingly out of nowhere, but help to lift us up and inspire us. Sometimes they inspire us to do or create art, sometimes they just inspire us to keep going (and at times that is what we need most).

This is a bit of an abstract concept - and you are most welcome to run with it any direction you like - but I want us to think, and LOOK, outside the box.

I want to start with this video - our very own Sara Gleason introduced me to it and I have to admit, it got me through a very difficult week! Try to watch it to the end - as I got my inspiration there.

Here is the page I made after watching it. I posted this up on my wall, and everytime I walked by I said to myself "I AM STRONG!" SOunds silly, I know - but sometimes, when the world is crumbling, a little silly means a whole lot!



Maybe you don't have a sports background, but I believe this video can still speak to you. What is something that you know to be true about yourself, or that you want to be true about yourself? Maybe make a page using that. . . . or make something for someone else in your life who could use it!

I AM BRILLIANT

Whatever speaks truth to you! And remember, this does NOT have to be an arty page. You can use a photo of yourself if you like (but you don't have to) and add elements (or not) whatever you prefer - whatever you like - DO IT!

Yes!! I stress this with my kiddos too - especially when they are having rough days too!
