This is one of my favorite songs and means a lot to me. I know that I departed greatly from the sweet layouts you expected in response to these lyrics changing the title to "I wish you knew... or had known". This was a difficult but theraputic layout for me to create -- what I wish I could tell my friend who committed suicide many years ago.
No, he took his life almost 20 years ago. My brother and sister are adults now and still suffer from what he did.
