A good piece of art is balanced and well thought, an AMAZING piece of art is indescribable, it's unexpected, it's shocking. For today's challenge we have an Image Inspiration. Instead of just ONE image I decided on a theme.... UNEXPECTED. I want you to come outside of the box and do something UNEXPECTED in your page. I have attached a few (ok, I couldn't stop myself) of just OUTSTANDING examples of unexpected pieces of art and I hope they inspire you to think outside the box. YOU DO NOT by any means need to do an artsy page or an art journal page. I want you to do a page that you feel comfortable doing and ADD an UNEXPECTED piece. Of course if you feel like doing an ARTSY page or an ART JOURNAL page then please DO SO and I would love to see it, but you STILL need to add an UNEXPECTED items to your page. i have no idea where to even begin with this but i love all the eye-candy pieces you chose Dalis (puts on thinking cap)
Well I have had some truly "unexpecteds" this week -- some sad and some happy but those need serious layouts. I needed to smile instead and so chose to do an art journaling page with a more general theme that speaks to life.
So this is what i came out with for my scrappy unexpected page. i took inspiration from the painttube leading into flowers image. i tried to switch up where you would expect me to extend the tree from the photo (i put the rain cloud there) and above the 'i' alpha, where i was going to put a raindrop or cloud, i put leaves there
I won't add this to the gallery as it's my own painting but I've been searching my brain for something to come up with for this challenge and remembered I made something 'unexpected' last year.
