Hello & happy March! I hope you are feeling creative and ready to jump into another month of fun challenges. This month's photography challenge is an artistic challenge: photograph something that begins with the letter "D". You can interpret this any way you wish - as a noun, verb, adjective, adverb. Literally or figuratively, you just need the subject in your photo to represent something that begins with the letter D. Think dog, dinosaur, dirty, delicious, drink, delicate, dark, dreary, darting, dance, daring, and so on. For my photo, I decided to use the word determination. As a reminder, this should be a new photo taken by you. When posting your layout, please share what your "D" word is if it isn't obvious. (Looking at my photo, it probably isn't evident what the photo represents. But to me, my son downhill skiing like this is total determination. The journaling shares the story.) Please remember the monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a guest spot on the Lilypad Creative Team! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges). I hope you have fun exploring your creativity and photography this month! I can't wait to see how you interpret this and the layouts you create!
Glad it is more obvious than I thought! My family automatically says "skiing" or "boarding", so downhill skiing isn't what immediately pops into my mind when I see this - I think "s" for skiing. Doubly happy that I was able to make the letter work literally and figuratively, lol.
Photos of my daughter in her Dirndl she wore to school today could not be any more perfect for this challenge!!!!

adorable.. now you have me wanting me to scrap mine when I was a kid. My dear friend Sylvia is from Germany and she brought back the drindle dress for me and the leiderhosen for my brother! Years later when we went to Germany, I bought a pair of leiderhosen for my nephew, my brother's son
