Oh LOVE this @Dalis and I hear you = my three year old is really pushing me lately - mostly because we have already started the packing and selling and he has no clue what is going on. Hubby and I did the math and we realized that by the time he is 5 we will have lived over 15 years with at least 1 kid - and sometimes 2 - under the age of 5. Sheesh - not how we planned it at all, lol! But I am looking forward to all of them being in a more reasonable stage!
For some reason I was inspired by the goose and that led be to "Old Mother Hubbard" - don't know why - except maybe it's because I should be going to the store right now instead of creating on my computer! I created an ATC for the challenge.
@Dalis You can do it. I think it's so awesome that you are thinking through the changes she'll be going through and the things she needs to know and wanting to remain close. That alone is wise parenting. I had boys but the big thing I learned was try to keep communication open and take advantage of the little opportunities that come along. Hugs! Oh and I love your page. Such a great idea for a background.
Thanks, @carilyne ! For the background, I used Nancy's masks and the Mother Goose image. Then I changed the blend to color burn and copy and pasted it in a tile look.
It looks cool. I was trying to decide what I could do with the image. But I went a whole other way. But I am SO sorry I didn't buy the Reading with Mom or whatever it's called kit. And then again maybe I need to do the other take. But I forgot to write my own nursery rhyme! Page 2 will probably be coming.
Such cool pages. Found this web site for Mother Goose rhymes, http://www.apples4theteacher.com/mother-goose-nursery-rhymes/ Got to check out the Reading with Mom kit. Teen parenting is horrible but you do come out on the other side. Loved Paula's Blue Jeans kit so used it for my documentarian AJ. Made up verse 2 to document our visit to Effigy Mounds. Here's mine:
So cute! Love it. I wanted to do my own version of the rhyme too. I forgot so I'll make it a double layout. Yours is so cute and I'm relieved there was no tumbling involved!!!
oh I am going to create tonight...I NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEd to art journal! and life has snuck a few hours of Anne time in right now and this is gonna happen!
Dalis! I want to just hug you!! I have been in a funk for a bit with art journaling, and didn't like it one bit. This was such a fun prompt, I spent hours going thru pinterest, and had so much fun! thank you thank you I spent a couple hours, just creating! I am one happy scrapper right now!
WOW, what a neat idea and am loving the layouts!! Been years since I have visited with Mother Goose as I am now a great grandma and I leave all that up to the kids and grandkids now. It will be fun visiting with her once again! Still hung up on the last two weeks of Feb Art Journaling. Subject matter is giving me a tough time but I still may try to tackle it.
Like @Dalis, I was tested by Mother Goose re my 18yo son last month. And I vented it out by handlettering this quote. "Kids are going to yield to temptation. They are going to mess up. But these choices do not define them."
Mother goose just reminded me of childhood and could not get past it. So I just went with the flow and made Dreamer
Back from Mexico and ready to jump back in. These pages are so awesome and I love this months topic. I'm still trying to master a shadow box I like but hey, time to move forward.
