I delete them. IMO they are a nuisance. Evidently these are created when the designer if using a MAC creates the zip file. MAC users do not see these files but Windows users do.
that could be part of it but I also have a big stash....I've deleted about 80gb of stuff which was mainly the MACOX files so I'm down to a slightly more reasonable stash
This is true, but, just in case you don't know, I want to add: It's not the designers' fault. It's a MAC thing, and the workarounds are not easy. As far as I remember, there's no reason for the file to be created, but MAC does it anyway. I have the same issue when my dad (Mac) sends me (PC) zipped files. Ugh. I wish MAC would stop! You can also delete: .DS_Store files safely. They have nothing to do with the TLP store. Those are smaller, but they will save you space too.
Yeah, it is a feature of the MAC filesystem and not the fault of the designers. From what I've read they also double the size of the zip file. But they are a nuisance.
100% I'm working on a group project for school. 2 PC 2 MAC. We are constantly deleting those files everytime we download the project. Totally a nuisance!
