Hey there M3ers, I'm excited to bring you the next challenge for January's M3 challenges. Have you seen Sissy Sparrows' tutorial on realistic stamping? Isn't it awesome? I love this technique so much that I thought it would be perfect for a challenge. I have PSE so I used blending and some clipping masks to make the paint and stamps look more realistic.
i did something with different colors blending to passport paint and 2 versions of picture, left some sky to show it was being taken out
Background is altered using blending techniques on two papers. I used Just Jaimee's Mist Brushes to alter the map then added the outline on top of the altered map for emphasis. The border was lightened and transformed using the eraser.
here is mine Altered (meaning the slider) on all of the doodled elements plus photos and wordart... made a brick wall from photo of brick wall then find edge to sketch and blended it with the bg paper... my photo I changed to b/w and then sketched it in akvis sketch and then used a linear burn blend mode to blend it in to the bg paper... all of the paints etc are all blended in and the ephemra I added the shadow too... also blended the graffiti alpha into the bg brickwall & bg paper
Here's mine. I used the sliders on the words "where" and "my". I also used sliders on the page mask from Just Jaimee and several brushes from both the main kit and the Little Butterfly Wings add-ons.
I blended everything I could and in different ways. On the vintage pictures of Rome and the Eiffel Tower stamp I used the eraser.
I did a page as well! I used a displacement map on the paint blob at the top of the page as well as erasing and blending the other paint stamps as well. Thanks your great tutorial Heather
