Hi everyone! Michelle here with the very first M3 subscriber challenge! I'm just a little bit excited Every month, each M3 designer will post a weekly challenge (4 weeks, 4 designers, 4 challenges!) and one winner will be selected from each week to win $10 to that designer's store. This challenge begins with a little story about how this kit came to life . . . During a brainstorming session it was suggested that we design these M3 kits based on emotions rather than standard themes. Jaimee gets credit for coming up with the awesome idea to choose a few inspiring words each month and let our creativity be guided by the feelings those words evoke. Each M3 kit will be based on 3 words - a verb, an adjective and a noun. If you look closely at this month's kit it's probably not very hard to guess what our 3 words for August were: Embrace / Delightful / Possibilities We took those words and ran with them - now we are putting the challenge to YOU! What do those words make YOU feel? Create a layout (traditional, art journal, hybrid, Project Life, ANYTHING!) using one (or all) of these words as your inspiration. Interpret that any way you like! Here's mine: M3 Challenge Guidelines: You have 2 weeks to complete this challenge. Ends Friday, Sept 5th - Your page must contain at least 60% of M3 products - Post your layout in this thread and the M3 gallery. One person will win a $10 coupon to the Quirky Heart store Good luck and have fun!
Here's my layout - I blended two of the M3 collab papers for the background and layered stamps from Artsy Bits & Sketchbook 1. TIP: I use blending modes to get the background paper texture to show through the stamps, but that sometimes makes them look dull. Simple fix... just increase the saturation after applying the blending mode!
Good question Judy! Sorry I forgot to mention that. You have 2 weeks to complete each challenge. I'll go edit my original post
I knew that this photo would work for the inspiration, the exact words didn't fit the relationship of my Dad and me. I used keep on the page, but I know the possibilities of prayer that are happening behind this photo...and hope that works for the challenge:
