I bought your Misty Brushes a couple weeks ago and I just cannot figure out how to mist over a shape. Am I missing something?

I think you are supposed to cut the shape out of the mist you place on a layer..(put a separate layer for the mist), then click magic wand on the shape, it makes marching ants...and right click back on mist layer, and cut that shape from the mist.

When I want to have a masked effect, I typically will duplicate the layer underneath the mist (or whatever else I'm cutting out of), move the duplicate layer on top of the mist, and clip it to whatever shape I'm using for the mask. So, it's not really cut out, but it looks like it is. Doing it this way allows me to move the masking shape around to position it where I want it - and move it later if I move other things around on my layout - which I do frequently. The only downside to doing it this way, is that I don't get those cool jagged edges like it shows in the tutorial.
