This event isn't a traditional challenge in that there aren't any real rules. It’s a fun event to scrap with products from a favorite designer or try a new (to you) designer. It’s all about having fun and celebrating the uniqueness of all of our Lilypad Designers.

I am so excited and honored to host Anita's day here at The Lilypad. I have always been drawn to her beautiful clean and elegant design style. I love her templates as a starting point, as they are fun to use, and can easily be modified for my needs. Anita has many wonderful digital collections in her store that are perfect for digital and hybrid projects. Her designs are extremely versatile, and suit my more traditional scrapbooking style.
Here are some of my recent layouts made with Anita's Designs.
I asked her some questions so we could all get to know her a little better.
How did you get started as a designer?
It all started at a Belgium Photo forum for photography and scrapbooking, that's when I first learned how to scrap. I have always been creative in crafting and with photoshop it was like a new kind of adventure to figure out how it all works. After shopping lots of digi kits, I thought I would love to make my own stuff and so a new creative journey began.
What's your creative process for coming up with new product ideas?
That varies, sometimes it's events happening in my life, or occasions or just something that pops up in my head.
Do you have a current favorite product you’ve created?
I love the Fernweh and Snap and A winter's tale collabs, but also the Audacity, Sea La Vie, One and Unforgettable.
Where do you call home?
I live in Belfeld, a small village near the city Venlo in the province of Limburg in the Netherlands.
Our house is filled with a husband and 2 boys (22 and 26) that still live with us, we have a happy dog called Shadow an American Staffordshire Terrier, and a Bengal cat named Tony and a lazy lady cat called Jayda, and since a little while the boys decided to ad a little birdy called Puppy (Blame my husband for the weird birdname LOL).
What do you do to relax and take time for yourself?
Every once in a while, Irma (from designed by Irma) and I take a wellnes sauna spa day at our fave spa facility. https://www.thermenbussloo.nl/
We aim to go every two months. We hang out enjoy the heat from the sauna's and the saltwater and other pools and an HAMMAM treatment! And of course we love their food. Since I had cancer I try to enjoy life more and do more fun stuff like vacations and spending quality time with family and friends in between check-ups. Other than that if I need ME time I just take a book and read in the tub or take walks in the forest to enjoy the nature and clear my head.
