    Welcome to the 2022 edition of Love Our Designers. This event isn't a traditional challenge in that there aren't any real rules. It’s a fun event to scrap with products from a fave designer or try a new (to you) designer. It’s all about having fun and celebrating the uniqueness of all of our Lilypad Designers!

    Let's get to know Liz a little better:

    How long have you been designing?

    I think I started digi scrapping in 2009 and shortly after that I started designing templates. I think I officially started selling templates in 2010! So almost 12 years!

    When did you join the Lilypad as a designer?

    January of 2016. What a happy month!

    How would you describe your design style?

    More simple and traditional for the most part. Most of the time when I'm designing a template I think about paper scrapping.

    Where do you get your ideas for what to design?

    I usually look to everyday items or designs: patterns, styles, compositions. Sometimes I'll look at my own pictures to think about how I might want to scrap them.

    What are your most favourite product lines that you designed?

    I love my Simple and Sweet Template Album sets. They are my go to when I want to put together an album quickly or when I need to find a template with just the right photo spots.

    Can you describe your design space at home?

    There are two areas I work at. My desk, which is in the middle of the house, in a little alcove off of the kitchen area. It's not a very large area but I do have two monitors. Then when I want to get more comfortable I'll take my laptop to the couch and design while my hubby and I watch a show or listen to an audio book.

    Do you scrap, too?

    Yes! I set aside every Sunday afternoon to scrapbook. I wish I had more time but that's about all I can handle with homeschooling 6 of my kids during the week and setting aside my evenings for designing/work time.

    What is your favourite page that you've made (with your products)?

    I participated in MOC this year and I have so many faves from that challenge. I think this is my current favorite. It was fun scrapping about where I live.

    I was able to meet @Scrapping with Liz - we even shared a flight together and a limousine ride, not to mention having loads of fun while we were in Las Vegas.

    It's no secret that I'm a HUGE SWL fan! I've been a Polly here since 2010 and the only place I used to buy anything was to get my SWL templates at Scrap Orchard before Liz moved here. I lobbied hard both here and with Liz to get her to move here! I was over the moon happy when she finally joined the team here. :D I get giddy especially anytime Liz releases a new set of Artsy Journal templates. They are my absolute favorites! They let me incorporate my love of excessive journaling. :giggle

    I started digi scrapping in 2008 and found Liz that same year (one of my templates has a created date of 2008). I loved her simplistic style since it was so much like my traditional scrapping style. I've been a fan ever since. I got a lot of her templates as freebies from her blog over the years until I found her in a store. And, if you look at my SWL folder on my hard drive... it is huge! Most of my layouts in my gallery are SWL templates. I have to say my favorite set though is the Daily Life templates. I use them for any type of layout.

    You can not go wrong with a SWL template! I absolutely love her big photo templates. I like to showcase a great photo!

    I have been purchasing Liz's templates since 2014 and maybe before that! I always pick up the monthly series for my 365/52 layouts! Here's one I picked up somewhere on the other side of the rainbow back in 2015.
