Hi all. Hope you are all doing ok? My son, Matt Gould, and his friend are running a wild life photography competition. With photos to be taken in your home or garden during lockdown/quarantine. I know not everyone likes to photograph nature. But it might be nice to try something different while we can't get out and about. The competition is free to enter and there are no prizes. It's more an opportunity to take part and be inspired to take photos. Anyway, here's the info if anyone wants to take a look Website https://www.iwpawards2020.com/ Instagram https://www.instagram.com/iwpa_2020/
What a cool idea! I grabbed a very bad photo of a cool red-headed wood pecker on a tree in my front yard yesterday at lunch. I wish I'd had my good camera handy!
Glad you found it useful. I am enjoying seeing what I can find in the garden to photograph. It makes you look at things much more carefully!
I contributed a photo I took last Tuesday. Hopefully a butterfly is classed as wildlife. Every morning I join my husband for morning tea in our small pavilion in the backyard, I take my camera and have been capturing all sorts of things, especially now that Ken is building the little waterfall and tiny pond.
I love looking at nature photos. I'm not so great at taking them. @Tiff takes some great nature photos!
Karen thanks for this info. I have been taking daily photos as a personal challenge and today I captured a butterfly just out of cocoon drying its wings. I gave up my DSLR (to my granddaughter) as it was too heavy but have been having fun with my iPhone and a Canon Powershot.
