With the invention of e-readers, I'm sure a lot of people have switched the electronic way of reading. I used to go to the library ALL the time, but not so much anymore.:whistle

I was wondering, do you still read a mix of ereader and library books - or have you strictly gone electronic all the way?

I'm sad to say I haven't been going to the library at all lately unless it's for the kids school projects, but they recently set up a ebook checkout system. It's only compatible with computers so far and the titles are limited, but I'm hoping this is just the beginning and the libraries figure out how to incorporate e-readers.

I just get the e-reader version now. I love our library, they have a pretty big selection of e-books, even for the kids. :)

I still go to the library because we can't afford all the new electronics. My library is the pits too. The only allow 2 weeks on a book and their book selection is TINY!!! I've tried interlibrary loans, but they about two months to get a hold of 1 book.

I go once a week/every other week. (Just depends on how the week looks) Ryan loves going to the library and getting books, and since Zach has to read 20 accelerated reader books every month we take huge advantage of our library.

We have a horrible library here in town. I used to go to the one in the next town when I was in high school to do projects, since you can use the town card in any library in the county. I have been wanting to check out whether the library has an ebooks program.

I love our library! I listen to audio books uploaded from the library and borrow ebooks constantly!!! The branch close to us was just remodeled but I have yet to go and check it out...

I don't really read as much as I used to but having my kindle is way easier than going to the library... and I used to just buy books or borrow from a friend because it was easier and I could keep it longer. lol!

We go to the library all the time! No e-readers here yet ..... Our library lets you check out for 6 weeks at at time (well, 2 weeks at a time plus you can renew them twice) so we probably go once a month (unless the kids have read everything and need more). We go every week during the summer.

ACK! That's sooo me too! ;)
I work at a library...and I understand where you're coming from. After shelving tons of books my hands feel grimy. And you don't want to know about all the things we've found in books...haha that being said, I still use the library tons.

The lady that just retired from my office was my "book dealer". She is a voracious reader, checking out 6 or 7 books at a time, mysteries and romance novels. Now I have to go to the library myself! She did drop off two books for me last week and I've already finished one.

I haven't learned how to use the ebooks from the library yet, but I really want to learn.

ROFL... I'm afraid to know!!

I am always at the library - my local one which is small is 2 blocks down the street and the main one I use during uni time is a shared library between the council and uni right next door to my classes

I haven´t been in a library since ages. I mostly buy them on amazon, get some review copy´s for free or exchange them in an internet forum.

I love technology, but I can't get behind the idea of reading electronic books. I will fight to the death to read 'real' books and get to smell that new book smell...

We go to the library every other week or so. It's turned into a two person trip as I can't carry DD screaming and crying out of the library and carry the bag of heavy books at the same time (oh yes, do I love having a 2 year old!), but since we moved into a new county and are now residents of the main city library, I'm always struggling to remember when the library is open (it's only open half a day most days) and when DH is still at home with the car.

Our cards still work at the old library (which is only 15 minutes from our house), so I will go there sometimes since it has better hours and a better selection. Don't tell. :giggle
