    Hi Grey! Welcome! Tracie @tkradtke is in Chicago too! I'm just starting to play with art journaling and mixed media. I hope you stay and chat with us! I have a dog, no cats, but we do have a lot of cats in our gallery! They are fun to see.

    Thanks for all the replies! It might be a bit before I can put anything in the gallery, my collection of things from here is still small at the moment. That will definitely change! Most of the things I've been using are things I've had sitting around on CD since a 2009 backup. :) I was really bad about not making note of where things came from with early pieces. (It didn't occur to me that I should do that for some reason. Oops!) Now I keep a text file open and do my best to remember to note down the things I end up using. :D I like to mix digital and physical things together and I make sure to scan in anything that I might want to use again in another project before I go gluing it to something else.

    My apologies for not doing individual replies, I've been a bit busy.

    Welcome @Grey! As @bestcee mentioned, I live in Chicago too! I'm in the Lakeview neighborhood... with my husband, son, daughter and really annoying (but lovable) chihuahua. Can't wait to see some of your projects!
