Hi everyone, welcome to July. This month I’m hosting the Style challenge and I’ve noticed that lately I’m pinning lots of white space pages that have all the elements, photos and text aligned to the edge. So this month lets create an 'ON THE EDGE' white space page where everything is placed to one side. You can use the top, bottom, left or right edges so long as its all contained on one (1) of those sides. Remember our monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the JULY Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges). I can't wait to see your ON THE EDGE white space pages.
Upon Finishing This Layout I'm Not Sure If It Completely Complies With This Challenge...Yes...My Photo & All Of My Elements/WA Are Placed To The Right But I'm Not Sure If The Paper I Used Is Considered White Space...It Is One Paper & The Large Lines To The Left That You See That Criss-Cross Are Part Of The Paper Design...I Did Not Add These...Yikes!...I Love How The Design Turned Out...I Never Think Of Putting All My Elements To One Side To Complete A Layout...I Will Upload My Finished Layout Here But If You Feel That It Is Not Exactly In Keeping With The Challenge Guide Lines...Just Let Me Know & I Will Create Something Else... *For My Blue Lagoon Layout-I Used: *Poisson:Mixed Media Artistry & Paperie-Rachel Jefferies
My nickname for our little Lila. She is as full of life and color as this background! I normally would not do a page in this style. When I first saw it appear years ago, I thought- what an odd way to do a page- coming from a paper scrap background- you spend so much money on supplies that a page like this seemed silly. LOL! But I thought I would do another this way to see how it turned out. This one is less "busy". I actually LIKE IT!
