Happy end of July (almost)
I'm here to finish off the July Muse theme: SEA (I'm a day early...)
This week I want to bring our pages into finality and what's better than the calming waves of the sea. So week 4 is......

Week 4 - The Sea: WAVES
As a water sign (Pisces the fish) I am drawn to the water like a moth to a flame. Anytime I am around water, whether swimming, fishing, or just sitting near it. I am calm. It has always brought me a sense of tranquility and peace.

The waves lapping at the shore, or waves lulling a boat back & forth. It all just gives me visions of "ahhhhhh" ...exhale....a refreshing calmness. A stillness.

Here's a bit of a moody, Pisces girl (lol), inspiration I put together from some Pinterest searches a few days ago.

Your Challenge for Week 4:
Use one (the last) of your 4 divided parts of a layout to create a page focused on things you think of when you think of the waves.

Maybe the waves make you think of:
  • rocking boats and crested shapes
  • the movement & energy in the waves
  • maybe even the crash of them on the shore
  • or the white foam and bubbles they make
Are they as relaxing to you as they are to me? Feel free to use quotes, word art, or any color palette you like.

Here is the page I created. I went ahead and created all 4 weeks at the same time. And I worked from bottom to top, since week 1 was all about the "deep".
Week 4 my top portion is about the calm and the peace the waves bring to me. :)
Credits are in the gallery.

Template Information:
In week 1, Ona gave us some template options. Feel free to use one of those or make your own. https://the-lilypad.com/forum/threads/july-monthly-muse-week-1.88960/

Recap of the Rules:
  • Use one (the last) of your 4 divided parts of a layout to create a page focused on things that calm you down. Is it a person, a place, perhaps a scent, or a song. Whatever it is that calms you down, create your page all about that. Feel free to use quotes, word art, or any color palette you like.
  • You can create any style of page ie. clean and simple, artsy, pocket style etc,. Your page can be all digital or hybrid. Wherever the inspiration takes you as long as you include TLP products on your page.
  • Please post your layout to the Art Journaling Gallery Here prior to Midnight EST August 1, 2023 and then post it in this thread by copying the code (at the right of your gallery image) from the box under "Share BB Code".
We will draw a winner at the beginning of next month for a coupon!! Every layout you create is equal to one entry in the random draw. So if you create 1 layout you are entered once, if you create 4 layouts you are entered 4 times.

You can use any products in the Lilypad store or retired products from current Lilypad designers, (just make sure you follow our gallery guidelines).

ooh yeah!!! totally ready to finish my page off, thanks for that terrific Inspiration board as well Kiana, off to scrap!! :fairydance

I am so happy to get this layout finished, wow! it took a lot of thinking to get the four parts done but I am happy with how it turned out. :) I kept the last part a bit plain-ish and then added some little emebellishment right at the top of all of the other layers to tie it in all together.

Thanks for hosting this week Kiana!!

Here is just the Week 4 part:

and here is the completed layout. :)

I have added a crab to my Week4 as my zodiac sign is Cancer. I do love to be by the sea. I so much enjoy listening to waves crashing. The photo I used is from our last beach holiday which was August last year. I really miss not living closer to a beachside town and not visiting my daughter's home as they have a view of the ocean from their home.

Here is just week 4. This ended up being the hardest week for me. I knew what I wanted to do as soon as the challenge was up but I had a hard time getting the look I wanted.

And here is the final page. I still love these four part pages so much.

I know I'm super late posting this but I still wanted to share my finished page. I just ran out of time, but the mojo still moved me to finish because of the great prompts! It's my first scrappy page using my new PSE program so I'm trying to get my head around things lol
Thanks for an awesome Muse!

:cheer:cheer Congratulations to @Smwhite Sue for being the winner for the July Muse! :cheer:cheer

A big thank you to everyone that joined us this month! :grouphug :heartlub
