Welcome to July's challenges! This month's journaling challenge is to share more about someone - by interviewing them! Some of my most favorite layouts ever are the ones from when I interviewed my children at various ages in their life. These bits of life are a time capsule to me and whenever I read them, I'm instantly brought back to that stage in our life and am reminded of the little pieces of awesomeness that I forgot (anyone remember Bob the Builder?! or Barney?! How about Wheels on the Bus - sung over. and over. and over!). These layouts are treasures as I remember what was current so long ago and they are in my children's words - what they told me that liked/loved/hated/etc. at that time in their life. Priceless! Of coarse you don't have to interview children - you can interview anyone and create a page with what you learned about that person. Since this is a journaling challenge, you should share the what you learned in the interview through words and journaling - paragraph form, journaling spots, or as a Q&A, like I did in my layout here: Please remember the monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a guest spot on the Lilypad Creative Team! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges). Have fun and I cannot wait to learn more about the people in your life!
Oh I do this every year for my kids school albums. Makes me remember I haven't done it yet for LAST year! Will get on it now
ok, so I took a different spin than originally planned. We are going on Vacation in August and I always like to do a "what do you hope for" layout. I may tweak it a bit as I think of other questions, but here's my first interviews
What an adorable Q & A...I can't wait to do these with my g-daughter...but since she is not here yet It will still be awhile LOL
This was an interesting and fun challenge! I've never done this with my children before and I really wish I had! Here is my page.
I hope this conversation with my dog will qualify. Hopefully, you learned new things about my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Buddy. I, of course, had to translate since I understand him so well.
