Thank you for the challenge “The little prince traveled through the desert and came across a single flower. A flower with three petals, a flower of nothing. "Good morning," said the little prince. "Good morning," said the flower."
Such a fascinating start! I love index cards and other office supplies. https://the-lilypad.com/forum/galleries/07-19_wk1_indexcard_quote.398980/
Looks like it's going to be a fun challenge Barbara! Thanks Rachel for the journal card... so appreciated!

I can't believe I missed this on Monday!!! I've been checking "new posts" and everything!! LOL! What a GREAT idea!! Soooo crazy curious about this one! Had to laugh- saw that we needed a book and I thought, "Eeeeek!" I haven't been able to read much for about 10 years. BUT I did find one.
I'll Take A Stab At This Challenge Also...I Too Opted For No Background For Now & The Freedom To Move My Index Card If I Have To...I Lucked Out With What I Think Is The Perfect Quote To Describe This Challenge...
I must admit I cheated and chose my quote rather than it being random. I'm in the mood to journal about something I've been thinking a lot about lately instead of something random.
@michelepixels Great sentence to journal about.... I too think about the jobs we hold and are we embracing certain technologies without thinking of the consequences. I refuse to use a self checkout in a store. A friend of ours is in the very upper management of Macy’s (before at Target) and she said the reality is for ever self check out lane the store is able to eliminate 4 actual jobs!!!! Our local Kroger has 12 self checking, when they opened the most recent 6, a Manager tried to get me to move from a lane with a cashier to a self serve one. I told him ‘I will stay here and save a job’ the cashier actually thanked me! She said all their hours were just cut!
I actually like self-check outs. Andrew Yang is not speaking out against automation. He's saying that we need to change our mindset about the value of different kinds of work -- caregiving, for instance -- and one of his many policy plans is a Universal Basic Income of $1000/month for everyone over the age of 18. He is one of my favorite presidential candidates.
Lest someone thinks I am simple, all of my books are packed, in anticipation of a move, except for my grandkids' books. OKAY?
