Hey everyone! We are just getting started on a speed scrap in the chat room if you'd like to join us. I'll be posting the steps here too. 1. Start with one rectangular photo that stretches across the whole page (I did horizontal, but vertical works too). If you don’t have one photo that will work, you can use multiple photos right next to each other that stretch across the whole page. 2. Add a background paper and layer one piece of paper under the first photo(s) so just a bit shows above and below the photo. 3. Add at least one smaller photo, with part of the new photo overlapping the first photo(s). Add a paper mat under the new photo if needed. 4. Add a paint splatter or stamp under the photos so just a bit is peeking out 1-3 places. 5. Add at least 3 elements along the edge of the smaller photo to anchor it to your page. If you added more photos... use at least one element to anchor those down too. 6. Add a title that either completely or partially overlaps the big photo. 7. Finish with at least a date and add journaling and any additional elements you need. You have until 11:00 pm EDT to finish your pages. Please upload to this gallery: https://the-lilypad.com/forum/galleries/categories/speed-scraps.570/ and then post your pages here too some I make sure you get you your prize. Here's my page:
Thanks for the speedy instructions! I decided I wanted to add more photos because I've taken a lot of them over the years! I have even more than this. It could be a two page spread. LOL
Trying to get the feel of a cold day in July. Blustery Day - Speed Scrap by Juliestcyr posted Jul 13, 2016 at 2:32 AM
Still will add a little -but took longer than expected - thanks for the speed scrap and kit recommendations! Oh and I made the small picture a little larger
Finished! will have to go back after the deadline to put in credits, and post more in this thread- or I won't make the deadline
Update to my earlier post: Thanks again for the scrap! I actually had a layout come together, learned a new technique, and scrapped a photo and story I wanted to remember! I think you can read the journaling in the layout in the gallery. It seems tiny in the thread where i posted it earlier. Thanks again.
Wow! I am just blown away by everyone's gorgeous layouts for this speed scrap! I love them all! I just sent everyone their prizes, so check your conversations for that. Thanks again for everyone who came to chat last night and for playing along!
