January 8th: Out of Bounds-Technique Challenge

I never would have done this without a challenge, but I have to say I really like the result. I had to get creative with the framing since their hands were lost in the bedspread.


I can't see myself doing this very often, but it's good to stretch my boundaries. And since all these pages just look amazing, maybe I will have to attempt it every now in then. I just don't love extraction.

 

Thanks Anne, I followed your suggestion. The Layouts today are outstanding. You have really motivated us!

 

Holy crud this was hard! I love how it turned out although you can't look to closely at the extracted areas...

 

I've done this in the past!! It's so eye-catching!!!

 

If you have PSE you can do this with a built in tutorial in the "Guided Edit Mode" in PSE GO HERE TO SEE TUTORIAL https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZ3utWEbZjEthis was easy once I cheated and used the program tutorial...

 

I feel like such an idiot but I'm having a hard time following your tutorial, Anne, since there's no sound. The part that's getting me is what do you do once you have your frame in place? Where you are selecting part of the picture below the frame to cut out. Not sure what to do here...

 

As someone who is not very patient about these things, this was not my favorite challenge. I have been blown away by the amazing stuff everyone has done! Here is mine~
