JANUARY 5: Photo Treatment

I used Michelle Coleman's Photo Pop action.

 

can i have two day 5's. i had planned on doing all 31 of our time in flordia, not dad's old photos, as this is

 

black and white with selective and changing colour. (the pink was red)

I duplicated the photo - changed the bottom layer to black and white and then used changed to opacity of the top layer (to 80) and applied a luminance filter. I used the channel mixer to create a colored background and adjusted the "channel sources" to achieve the look of black and white and color. I then used a photo mask.

 

I have loved to play along with those filters and I also tried the blur technic explained by Violaine.

Here's mine
For this I used a Coffeeshop free B&W action but stopped t mid-way and used blending modes to enhance the photo.

 

i have already posted one for moc 5 but wanted to play around with the tuts and found this filter under artistic ..rough pastels and then used blending on top layer...thanks for the challenge..



the photo has some nice texture but i dont think you can see it on the screen

 

Amazing pages everyone. Here's mine. I put on a B&W filter, but left Poppy dog in colour.

 

I used both a black and white treatment in PSE and a Lightroom preset for the sepia toned photo.

 

I used the Iris Blur in Photoshop to remove some of the background in the image.
